    Editorial Review

Vietnam Airlines Lotus Lounge 1 serves eligible international passengers in Terminal 2 at Tan Son Nhat. Vietnam Airlines business-class travelers and qualifying Lotusmiles members can enter, as can eligible SkyTeam premium-cabin and Elite Plus passengers under applicable rules. It sits airside on level 3 near the route to Gates 18–20. Access should be checked against the operating flight and status rather than assumed from a credit card.

This is the larger of the two international Lotus lounges. Its broad, window-facing room has views over the airfield, armchairs, dining tables and some semi-enclosed seating beneath pavilion-like structures. The open layout provides daylight but offers limited privacy. Occupancy varies by departure bank; outlets are concentrated at particular seats and tables rather than distributed throughout.

The buffet combines Vietnamese hot dishes with fruit, salads, bread, snacks and desserts. Soft drinks, coffee, tea, beer, wine and spirits are offered. The range is useful for a preflight meal, though preparation and quality can vary considerably. There is no consistently documented made-to-order dining service.

Showers, restrooms, Wi-Fi, computers and a printer add practical value for connecting passengers. Buffet presentation and restrooms have been tidy on documented visits, while food quality is less consistent. Lotus Lounge 1 is most useful for travelers prioritizing daylight, airfield views and a shower. Outlets are unevenly distributed, and a quieter setting is not guaranteed at busy periods.
