    Editorial Review

The Alaska Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport's Concourse D is an airline-operated lounge designed for Alaska Airlines and Oneworld passengers, as well as those with day passes. Following a significant renovation completed in June 2023, the lounge presents a refreshed, two-level environment with expanded seating, offering a more inviting and relaxed atmosphere for travelers. [6, 8, 11, 16] The lounge features floor-to-ceiling windows that provide extensive views of the airfield and, on clear days, the Olympic Mountains, enhancing the comfort and ambiance. Seating is varied, including individual chairs, group tables, and loungers. A key enhancement is the new barista station, serving hand-crafted espresso beverages, complementing a full bar that offers complimentary local craft beers, West Coast wines, and spirits. [3, 6, 8, 11, 16, 17, 22] Food options have also seen an upgrade, moving beyond basic snacks to include a self-serve pancake machine, soups, and rotating hot dishes like meatballs or Mexican fare. [6, 8, 15, 16, 22] While offering essential amenities like reliable Wi-Fi and abundant power outlets, the lounge does not provide showers or dedicated sleeping facilities. Despite its popularity, some travelers find it less crowded than other lounges at SEA, contributing to a calmer experience. [9, 15, 17, 19] This lounge is best suited for Alaska Airlines and Oneworld passengers seeking a comfortable and functional space with solid food and beverage offerings before their flight.
