    Lounge Ratings

    Comfort & Ambiance8.1

Separate dining and bar zones complement softer seats by windows facing the airfield. The dining area is more active than the window-side seating, and entry waits can develop at busy times.

    Food & Beverage8.6

Bagels, espresso, rotating small plates and made-to-order dishes provide alternatives to a standard buffet. A staffed cheese counter and full bar add variety, though tasting capacity is limited.

    Amenities & Facilities7.7

Wi-Fi, charging outlets, one shower suite, a parents' room and two reservable private rooms are available. The single shower can involve a wait.

    Cleanliness7.0

Dining and seating areas have contemporary finishes, and the shower is contained in an individual restroom. Heavy use can put pressure on the washrooms during peak periods.

    Editorial Review

Capital One's lounge at New York JFK serves eligible Venture X cardholders and other qualifying travelers in Terminal 4's retail hall, near the B gates. It operates around the clock, though access requires a same-day departing or connecting boarding pass. The space covers roughly 13,500 square feet and has separate dining, café and bar areas rather than a single open seating room.

Dining tables and booth seating fill the central section, while softer chairs line the windows facing the airfield. The layout gives travelers a choice between a sociable meal and a seat away from the busier food stations. Charging outlets are available near seating, and Wi-Fi is provided throughout. The lounge's size does not eliminate queues: the cheese tasting and shower are limited-capacity facilities, and washroom waits can develop at busy times.

The bodega-style counter prepares bagels and espresso drinks and stocks packaged items for the journey. A separate station serves rotating small plates, with some hot dishes ordered from the table. A staffed cheese counter offers tastings when space is available. The full bar serves cocktails, beer, wine and alcohol-free drinks. Some seating sections close during the overnight hours.

One shower suite, a parents' room and two reservable private rooms supplement the usual lounge facilities; the private rooms can accommodate small groups. This is a useful choice for Terminal 4 travelers who want a substantial meal or a shower before departure, especially when their itinerary gives them time to use the staffed food stations.
