The Alaska Lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), which was previously located in Terminal 7, is now permanently closed. Alaska Airlines moved its operations to Terminal 8 in early 2026 and did not reopen a dedicated Alaska Lounge. Therefore, there is no Alaska Lounge in Terminal 4 or any other terminal at JFK. Historically, the Terminal 7 Alaska Lounge offered a contemporary space with varied seating options, including semi-enclosed chairs and high-top tables. The lounge benefited from natural light and provided views of the airfield. While designed with a "West Coast vibe," the space was under 5,000 square feet with a capacity for just over 100 guests, and could become crowded, particularly during peak hours, due to broad access policies. The food and beverage selection included a hot buffet with items like soups, salads, and a popular pancake machine for breakfast. Barista-prepared Starbucks espresso beverages were a highlight, alongside a full bar offering complimentary house wines, local craft beers, and spirits. Premium alcoholic drinks were available for purchase. While these offerings were functional, some past travelers found the overall food selection to be somewhat limited compared to other lounges. Amenities included reliable Wi-Fi and accessible power outlets throughout the lounge. However, the lounge did not feature showers, dedicated nap rooms, or private meeting facilities. The former Alaska Lounge served its purpose as a comfortable waiting area for Alaska Airlines and partner passengers, as well as Priority Pass members, but its capacity limitations and basic amenities placed it in the average tier relative to other airport lounges. This lounge is no longer operational.
