    Lounge Ratings

    Comfort & Ambiance6.2

A refreshed, Japanese-inspired lounge with sofa, table, counter and more private seating areas. Large windows and apron views add light, but the layout is designed for a short domestic pre-flight stay rather than extended rest.

    Food & Beverage4.8

The included selection is limited to packaged snacks, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages. There is no supported evidence of a hot-food buffet or made-to-order dining, so travelers wanting a meal should eat in the terminal.

    Amenities & Facilities5.2

Free wireless internet, a baggage cloakroom, phone booths, restrooms and a smoking room cover basic domestic-travel needs. Showers are not available. A printer has also been reported, though work facilities are otherwise limited.

    Cleanliness7.0

The renovated interior and regularly maintained shared areas present a tidy, well-kept setting. Recent visitor feedback continues to describe a calm, clean atmosphere, although this may vary with flight-bank demand.

    Editorial Review

JAL’s domestic Sakura Lounge is airside on Level 2 of Fukuoka Airport’s Domestic Terminal, near Gates 8–9. It opens from 06:00 until the final departure. The lounge was redesigned around a Japanese aesthetic, with warm materials, local craft elements and several seating styles. Expect sofa-and-table groups, counter seating with views, and some more secluded seats; the broad windows overlooking the apron are a particular advantage for a short wait.

Refreshments are deliberately simple: soft drinks, alcoholic drinks and packaged snacks rather than a substantial buffet or hot meal. Plan to eat in the terminal if dining is important. Practical facilities include Wi-Fi, a cloakroom, phone booths, restrooms and a smoking room; showers are unavailable. A printer is available, but this is not a full business center.

Access is for eligible JAL domestic travelers, with paid entry also available to qualifying JAL Group passengers for ¥3,000. The lounge is a sensible choice for a drink, work session or quiet pause before boarding, particularly when the gate area is busy. It is not intended as a destination lounge or a substitute for a meal. Capacity and the precise snack selection can vary, so allow extra time during busy departure periods.
