    Lounge Ratings

    Comfort & Ambiance6.7

The lounge has separated dining, work and armchair areas, with quieter partitioned seats away from the buffet. It is a practical shared space rather than a private airline lounge.

    Food & Beverage6.4

A buffet combines Chinese and Western selections with made-to-order Shanghai- and Hong Kong-style noodles. Standard alcoholic drinks are available, although food quality can be uneven at busy times.

    Amenities & Facilities7.0

Facilities include Wi-Fi, charging, shower rooms, a relaxation area and day beds, plus flight-information displays. Shower access may be subject to availability.

    Cleanliness6.8

The lounge is generally maintained for continuous operation, with showers and washrooms available. Individual reports indicate that upkeep can vary by time of day.

    Editorial Review

China Eastern No.77 Lounge is a common-use lounge in the international departures area of Shanghai Pudong Terminal 2. It serves eligible airline passengers, membership-program guests and travelers purchasing a visit. The entrance is airside on the fourth floor, reached by the lift opposite Gate 77, and the lounge operates around the clock.

The layout separates dining tables, grouped armchairs, high work tables and more secluded partitioned seats. Power outlets are available at work positions, while day beds and a relaxation area provide options for a longer wait. The lounge also has Wi-Fi, flight-information displays, shower rooms and accessible facilities. Shower use can be limited by availability, so it is best regarded as a useful extra rather than a guaranteed pre-flight stop.

Food is served from a buffet with Chinese and Western selections, including Shanghai- and Hong Kong-style noodles prepared at a live station. Standard alcoholic drinks are available alongside non-alcoholic beverages. The range is more substantial than a snack-only contract lounge, but food quality and replenishment can be variable during busy periods.

This is a functional choice for Terminal 2 international departures, particularly for travelers needing a meal, a shower or a place to work before an overnight flight. It offers a broader facility set than a basic waiting room, but its shared-access model and uneven traveler feedback keep it below the standard of a consistently polished business-class lounge.
