Confirmed showers, Wi-Fi, charging, entertainment and children’s areas support longer connections; no sleeping pods or dedicated nap rooms are confirmed.

    Editorial Review

The Turkish Airlines Lounge Miles&Smiles is airside in Istanbul Airport’s international departures hall, opposite gate C1. It is a large, multi-zone flagship business lounge intended for eligible Turkish Airlines and Star Alliance premium travellers. Seating ranges from dining tables and work positions to armchairs, quieter corners and family-oriented areas; the scale is helpful on long connections, although busy bank periods can reduce privacy and make preferred seating harder to find.

Food is a principal strength. The all-day offer combines buffet items with staffed or prepared-to-order stations, including Turkish dishes, bakery items, desserts and a substantial drinks selection. The breadth is stronger than a conventional outstation business lounge, but the experience remains buffet-led rather than restaurant service. Shower suites are available, alongside Wi-Fi, charging, television and entertainment areas, a children’s play space, and practical work seating. No sleeping pods or dedicated nap rooms are confirmed here, so overnight travellers should not treat the lounge as a sleep facility.

Entry is primarily for Turkish Airlines business-class customers and qualifying airline-status members; eligible Star Alliance premium passengers can also use it when departing on a participating carrier. Rules, guest allowances and access during operational peaks can vary, so confirm eligibility before travelling. The overall proposition is polished and unusually comprehensive for a business-class lounge, with its food range and varied facilities offset by peak-time crowding.
